POLICE have questioned Blackburn Rovers winger Keith Gillespie following an incident in a Blackpool nightclub, the club confirmed today.
It is believed the Northern Ireland international was on a stag night when there was an incident in a club close to Blackpool Tower.
A spokesman for the club said: "The club are aware that Keith Gillespie has been spoken to by police officers in Blackpool in connection with an incident that took place a number of days ago.
"No charges have been preferred and further inquiries are being made."
Police in Blackpool refused to comment today.
Gillespie remained in England when the Rovers squad flew to Scandinavia for their pre-season tour because of back and hamstring problems,
