Accrington Stanley 1 Wrexham 2
STANLEY were unfortunate to go down to defeat in their opening pre season friendly against Second Division Wrexham.
Accrington had five new faces in their side while Brian Flynn's Wrexham included eight first team squad players in their starting line up.
After a goalless first half it was Wrexham who took the lead on the hour mark when Karl Connolly scored.
Accrington made four changes and it was assistant manager Jimmy Bell who equalised eight minutes after coming on when he scored from close range after Billy O'Callaghan's header had come back off the crossbar.
Wrexham snatched a last minute winner when skipper Tony Humes slid in to score from close range.
