A ONE-OFF club night aimed at recapturing the New Wave and New Romantic eras could become a regular event if it is a success.
The event at King George's Hall in Blackburn is the brainchild of Steve McKenna, a self-confessed 80s fanatic who saw the potential for the event after the recent success of films celebrating culture of the last decade.
Steve said: "There is a generation of ex-clubbers out there longing for some sort of reunion or regular night of their own. The music policy will span the New Wave and New Romantic eras of the late 70s and early 80s, so expect The Jam, Buzzcocks, Spandau Ballet, Human League, Heaven 17, Soft Cell, Ultravox, Visage and more."
The event, on August 28, will be held at the venue's Windsor Suite, which currently plays host to regular Northern Soul and jazz/funk nights.
