COUNCILLORS are to visit a semi-detached house in a row over a proposed kitchen extension.
Ribble Valley Council's planning committee deferred a decision on plans for Westfield, Beechthorpe Avenue, Waddington, after complaints by a neighbour.
Chris Stockton wants to demolish his kitchen and replace it with a new kitchen, dining room and utility area.
Officers recommended approval, but neighbour Joan Parkinson claimed the extension was excessive.
"The proposed extension is half again the size of the existing house," she said.
"It will cast a shadow across my living room window and cause an unacceptable loss of light to my rear garden.
"I never envisaged being deprived of light in my retirement.
"The development is excessive and will be a great imposition on my privacy."
