YOUNGSTERS from all around the region will be locked in competition tomorrow at Skipton in a bid to claim a place at the Eqvalan Pony Club Horse Trials Finals.
Teams from East Lancashire pony clubs including Pendle Forest and Craven Hunt, Blackburn, Chipping and Holcombe, will be battling for places at the prestigious finals which are held at Sansaw Park, Shropshire at the end of August.
Four riders from each local Pony Club branch will demonstrate their prowess in dressage, cross-country and show jumping while endeavouring to win a much-coveted team or individual place at the national finals.
Only one team and two individual riders will qualify for the Eqvalan Pony Club Horse Trials Championships, which will take place over August 25 and 26 at Sansaw Park, Shropshire. The finals will bring together top young event riders from all over the UK, some of whom will hopefully go on to be the international stars of tomorrow.
