THE Lancashire Junior Inter-League cricket competition gets underway tomorrow with teams from the Lancashire and Ribblesdale Leagues both in action.
The Lancashire League Under 17s are set to take on a Palace Shield side in a 50-over contest at Rishton which starts at 11am.
And the Ribblesdale League Under 17s will face a Chorley and District League side at Edenfield.
The Lancashire League team will come from: Peter Hanson (Rawtenstall), Sam Reidy (Enfield), David Bell (Ramsbottom), Danny Leathert (Rishton), Sam Hacking (Rishton), Khurrum Nazir (Nelson), Spencer Woods (Ramsbottom), William Cook-Martin (Rawtenstall), Adam Greenwood (Accrington), Gareth Halley (Burnley), Richard Rostron (Rishton), James Anderson (Burnley), and David Brown (Burnley). In the under 15s competition, a Lancashire League side will play the Palace Shield at Thornton Cleveleys on Thursday in a 40-over match (start 1pm).
Their squad is: Mark Fell (Bacup) captain, Andrew Clough, Chris Cook Martin and Alex Tattersall (all Rawtenstall), Jonathan Morris, Adam Breedon, Alex Bell and Robert Read (all Ramsbottom), Adam Bracewell, Keith Barker and Adam Jarrett (Enfield), Phil Hagerty (Lowerhouse), Andrew Bentley, Sam Tucker and Ben Lloyd (all Church), Jonathan Clare (Burnley), and Simon Pile (Nelson).
