I WILL never forget the date. It was one of the proudest times of my life - for I am American by birth.
We were on holiday in Scotland - in a caravan park and as we did not have TV I asked the people in the next caravan if I could see the moon landing on their set. I was made welcome and I had with me a large bottle of Scotch.
So, as Neil Armstrong stepped on to the Moon, we toasted him doing so and the same for Buzz Aldrin.
I can remember that day as if it was today and I will never forget it.
