AN ex-convict allegedly committed sex acts with a schoolboy and got the boy to do the same to him.

Burnley Crown Court heard how David Greaves, 32, was said to have repeatedly abused the child - but the alleged victim was scared Greaves would hit him if he told anybody what was going on.

In a police interview, recorded on video and played to the jury, the boy told how he wanted it to stop.

Greaves, of Exchange Street, Colne, denies six charges of indecent assault and six of indecency with a child.

The court heard how Greaves, who had served a term of custody at Kirkham prison, was arrested after the boy made allegations.

Greaves claimed the boy was lying and that another child, who had spotted what was allegedly going on, had been paid for giving evidence to police.

He claimed both boys had been put up to giving evidence against him.

In his video interview, the alleged victim said he had not told anybody else what had happened.

Greaves had told him not to tell his mother and that he would hit him if he told anybody else.

The child said he wanted the indecency to stop. He did not know if Greaves was doing the same to any other child.
