ROSSENDALE'S Dave Lewis lost second place in the Stoodley Pike fell race when he fell in sight of the finish.
Lewis recorded 17:47 for the 3.5 mile course as he took third, while his team-mates Phil Taylor and Chris White finished first veteran and first junior respectively.
First lady was veteran Vanessa Peacock, who was a member of the winning Clayton team which also included Sue Middleton and Tracey Targett. Mark Horrocks (5) was first Clayton Harrier, Jack Holt finished second over 50.
The four Darwen Dashers who set PBs for 10k last week, did it again this week at the Lancaster and Morecambe 10k.
Nev Rickard recorded 34:59, Andy Smith 37:23, Pete O'Callaghan 37:41 and Tony Herne 39:26. Nev and Pete were also second and fourth in the 7.5 mile Challenge of the Hills over Darwen Moors. Winners was Clayton's Paul Thompson.
Julie Leary was first lady in the Turton Tower Trail Race, Colette Tibke won the L40 category and a third Rossendale Harrier, Dave Schofield, was fourth overall.
Sheila Fogg was first L45 when recording 45:38 at the tough Buxton 5m and fellow West Pennine runner Neil Holding completed the 7m Ingleborough Fell race in 60:24.
At the Fleetwood Carnival Road Race, Evan Cook of Blackburn Harriers won the M45 division., Over a windy four lap course Evan logged 16:29 for the 5000m to finish sixth overall.
