A RAID on houses in the Burnley Wood area recovered more than £1,000-worth of the drug ecstasy.
Ten police officers from Burnley were involved in Operation Owl, an ongoing investigation into anti-social behaviour in the Burnley Wood area.
Police searched three houses in the town and arrested five people, three men and two women.
David Redman, of Cedar Street, Burnley, was due to appear before Burnley Magistrates today charged with possession and supply of ecstasy and cannabis. Four others have been released on police bail pending further forensic inquires.
Sgt Dave Fleming, who is in charge of the Burnley Wood area and led the operation, said: "We seized more than £1,000-worth of ecstasy and a nominal amount of cannabis and heroin. We also seized a large amount of stolen items.
"This is the start of a campaign on anti-social behaviour in the Burnley Wood area and more warrants will be executed and offenders arrested.
"Police were acting on information received from the local community and anyone with any information can contact Burnley police in the strictest confidence.
