NEW winners will emerge at Hesketh Golf Club on Monday with the NorthWest final of the Lombard Trophy.
Europe's biggest pro-am always produces some fine sport.
But last year's winners, Wearside, who went on to take the grand final in Portugal, will be playing their match at Hexham four days later.
Leigh will be represented by 35-year-old pro Andrew Baguley, who has been at the club for some 10 years.
He will be partnered by the star-named Robert Redford, a 59-year-old baker from Cheshire, who plays off a handicap of 11. He won the club qualifying back in April with a nett 65.
Neil Brazell and N Buckels are the combination from Hindley Hall.
THE Cystic Fibrosis Trust is calling for help from the sporty types.
They are looking for people to be sponsored for them on October 10 in the Manchester Marathon, a 26.2 mile jaunt from Heaton Park to Wythenshawe Park.
