GOLBORNE are the smash hits of the Leigh & District Tennis League.
With less than a handful of matches remaining they have a healthy lead at the top of Division One.
But watch out for Tyldesley - well down the list but with two matches in hand.
At the foot of the table it could be curtains for Kearsley while St Mark's also look doomed.
In Division Two Astley B look well placed for a quick return to the top flight.
But Lowton B could face a strong challenge from the B teams of Golborne and Tyldesley, although they do have a good crop of youngsters.
The handicaps have just been released for the cup competition which gets underway on August 12.
With the individual championships up to the final stages, the league dance at Golborne Sports & Social Club on September 3 should be a real knees-up.
