IN 1941 I gave the military authorities an idea which they used in North Africa and called it the Torch campaign, using the First Army (composed of American and British servicemen) in combination with General Montgomery and the Eighth Army to conquer all the German forces in Africa. This premier team went onto win the World War Championship. Perhaps David Stooker might put my name down for this bridge if and when built.
