BURY'S planning magicians are very quickly making the town's green areas vanish.
In five years two wildlife lodges have been destroyed, the second one at the Barracks (Bury Times, July 16) having its water gradually drained. Whole wildlife families are being eliminated, which is devastating for nature lovers.
Trees which have been around the Barracks lodge for more than 40 years have been cut down, the debris falling into the remaining pool which only a few weeks ago was a home for thriving wildlife.
When is the planning committee going to respond to this devastation?
