A STEEL band, children's entertainment, and stalls were all part of an information bazaar held this week at Deepdale Junior School.
The event, organised by the ethnicity and health unit at the University of Central Lancashire, gave people living in the Greater Deepdale area information about local essential services.
Police, fire and other services were on hand to provide information about recruitment, and there were health, welfare and community safety exhibitions.
Dipika Solanki, of the university's health and ethnicity unit, said: "It was a wonderful opportunity for local people to be informed of a range of issues around access to education, employment and community safety, which can enhance lives."
