COLNE Cricket Club have increased their lead at the top to eight points this week following their 12-2 home victory over fourth placed St Andrew's with Glyn Shuttleworth winning 21-5. Graham Procter won 21-19 for St Andrew's.
Great Harwood had a narrow 8-6 home win over Mortfield - Norman Hill triumphed 21-4 and Nel Jackson also won 21-10 for Mortfield. Sunnybank remain in third place after a 10-4 home defeat of St Stephen's which included Michael Cordey's 21-3 win and Walter Giles' 21-17 success for St Stephen's.
Greenhill had a narrow 8-6 home win over Darwen Subs with David Hoyle winning 21-4, John Bentley won 21-10 for Subs. East Lancs had a 12-2 home win over Rishton Con. Mick Lang won 21-4 and Adrian Shurmer registered a 21-17 scoreline for Rishton Con. Globe won 10-4 at Turton, Colin Crompton winning 21-8. Alan Birtwistle enjoyed a 21-13 success for Turton. Haslingden had a narrow 8-6 home win over Farington Con with Andy Pilkington winning 21-5. Chris Harding won 21-11 for the visitors. Edgworth had a 10-4 home win over Nelson.
