HAVING read the story about Robert Bleakley (Journal, July 15), I feel angry and amazed to have ever voted Labour at a council election.
This man made a mistake, apologised and still they want his blood. I am one of the 1,199 voters who elected Robert Bleakley because we were all sick of the "Labour lot". Every election they have sat back with the attitude "the vote's in the bag", well, shock, horror! They've had the seats pulled from under them. It's made them all jealous, bitter people and I suggest they all get over it because councillor Robert Bleakley is here to stay.
Never under estimate the power of the people, and the people in this case number 1,199.
