WRINKLEY rocker Leo Sayer made them feel like dancing at the weekend as Summerbreeze 99 attracted thousands of revellers to Morecambe.
An estimated 20,000 people enjoyed the weekend event which was equally enjoyed by the artists who described the audience as "electric."
On Friday night top boy band 911 wooed a large crowd at the Empire and the success of the gig means other top acts could soon be heading this way.
On Saturday night Leo Sayer brought to life the hits which made him a household name in the seventies and the crowd loved it, despite the rain, and on Sunday the Pasadenas' sweet soul music brought the weekend to a perfect end.
Said organiser Steve Middlesbrough: "This has turned into one of the biggest events of its kind in the region and everyone, including the artists, thoroughly enjoyed it. Leo Sayer and Cleopatra said the crowd were electric and have asked to come back next year."
