PLUCKY teenager Luke Bryan went back to school to pick up a cheque for the fantastic sum of £11,000 raised at his old seat of learning, St Edmund Arrowsmith High.
Staff and students at the Ashton school started their marathon appeal two years ago following the freak rugby tackle which left Luke, from Clipsley Lane, Haydock, paralysed from the neck down.
Now aged 19, Luke has returned to Carmel College where he is studying A level maths but he remains a huge fan of Rugby League and his ambition is to land a coaching post with a top side.
