THREE local bands starred in a charity rock concert at Bury's Elton High School last Thursday.
Killfish, a punk-orientated metal band, were joined by Stitches and Brit-rock outfit Apathy for the event attended by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor John Costello.
Coun Costello sits on the school's board of governors and all proceeds from the gig will go to his charities.
Around 100 people were present on the night, raising about £200.
Head teacher Mr Neil Scruton said: "The event was initiated by our pupils and youngsters from other schools.
"The Mayor enjoyed the evening and even tried his hand on the guitar. It was well supported and a good demonstration of community spirit."
