PRINCE Andrew is to make another visit to the Fylde, the Citizen can exclusively reveal yet again.
Just three years on from his last trip here, the Duke of York will be gracing Blackpool Pleasure Beach on September 10 for a charity dinner.
It was your priceless weekly which broke news of his attendance at a private engagement at Lytham Hall in October 1996, having previously visited the Open Golf Championship in the summer.
At the time, the Prince commented it was the warmest welcome he had ever received anywhere in Lancashire and that will certainly be Eclipsed in two months time.
The visit, initiated by Pleasure Beach boss Geoffrey Thompson, was agreed during a function of the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, of which the Prince is patron.
Arriving in the afternoon, His Royal Highness will first meet representatives from two charities - the NSPCC's Full Stop campaign which he launched earlier this year and Christie Hospital in Manchester.
After a cocktail reception, the Prince will attend a gala performance of the Eclipse show at The Globe before a celebrity dinner and charity auction.
A Pleasure Beach spokesman said everyone was delighted Prince Andrew would be visiting and added:
"This will be the second time the Eclipse cast has appeared before royalty having performed at the Royal Variety Performance in December in front of Prince Charles."
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said that although he couldn't rule out the possibility of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie coming to try out the Pleasure Beach rides, it was rare for the Prince to take his daughters on an official royal engagement.
