MODEST Caroline Fox could soon be swapping her schoolwork for the glitz and glamour of the international catwalk.
For the 16-year-old drama and music student has been picked from thousands of hopefuls to take part in the semi-final of the Storm model agency's prestigious Highland Spring Originals model competition.
But shy Caroline wouldn't even have entered the contest if it wasn't for her dance teacher Joy Wareing who spotted her potential.
Joy, who runs the Dance Factory in Blackburn, said: "Caroline is so modest, she doesn't even see her own beauty.
"But I knew that she has got what it takes to be a model so I took her picture and sent it in.
"I'm thrilled that she has been picked for the semi-final."
Now Caroline and 19 other hopefuls will strut their stuff at a star-studded semi-final at a top Cheshire hotel next week.
If she is picked she will be whisked to London for the glittering star final and the chance to win a modelling contract with Storm, the agency which launched the career of supermodel Kate Moss.
Caroline, who comes from the Blackamoor district of Blackburn, said: "Modelling had crossed my mind before, but I wouldn't have entered the competition if Joy hadn't given me the push that I needed.
"I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to enter, even if I didn't get picked, so when I heard I'd got through to the semi-final I was really excited."
