A DEDICATED member of the Inner Wheel Club of Blackburn died suddenly at her Sunnyhurst, Darwen home.
Mrs Norah Ainsworth, 82, died on July 16 and her funeral was held yesterday.
Her sister, Frances Gentry, said she was an active person who lived a full life and looked forward to the future right.
Mrs Gentry said: "She would help anybody and everyone would turn to her for advice. She was well-known and well-liked."
Her son, John Ainsworth, said: "She was a dedicated family person."
Mrs Ainsworth, a housewife all her life, held many posts in the Inner Wheel Club of Blackburn and was president twice.
She also helped set up other Inner Wheel clubs throughout the North West. She helped record talking books for the blind and took part in other charity work.
Mrs Ainsworth, whose husband Leslie died several years ago, leaves son John, daughter Patricia and her five grandchildren.
