BUDDING news reporters can sample a taste of journalism on a new course at Blackburn College.
"An Introduction to Practical Journalism" starts in September at the college's media centre.
Course leader Richard Slater has 10 years' experience as a newspaper journalist and is also a lecturer in journalism.
He said: "The course is designed for people who have an interest in newspapers or journalism, or a need to improve their skills for their jobs."
Issues covered will include research techniques, news and feature construction, feature writing and headline writing.
The 12-week course costs £29.50, plus £5 registration fee.
Successful students will be awarded an ASET Certificate in Practical Journalism.
