MERCY crews throughout East Lancashire threatened industrial action, which could hit the sick and elderly, following the breakdown of pay talks.
Union leaders said the lifesaving ambulancemen were angry and ready for action, following the collapse of national pay negotiations.
A 6.5 per cent increase, offered by the Department of Health, was rejected.
