AS a full-time employee of the Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley NHS Trust, I was amazed to read your report (LET, July 1) on the opening of the new facilities for the hospital radio volunteers.
I can see that everyone likes to work in a nice environment, but how can the Trust justify spending £43,000 at a time when waiting lists are getting longer by the day. What are our priorities here?
How many patients could that money treat?
Perhaps a public relations exercise is more important to my employers than treating patients.
