WE had another laugh from our eight-year-old grandson, Daniel, who was visiting us.
He is always in the front-line with interest in anything mechanical or electrical and he watched as I repaired a portable radio.
After the repair, I tuned in to the nearest station on the dial where a man happened to be speaking German. Wondering what Daniel would make of it, I left it on for half a minute and I could see that he was studying my face intently.
I switched off the set and then asked Daniel: "What did he say?" Without batting an eyelid, he replied: "He didn't say owt."
