TWO women were injured when a car driven by a 15-year-old boy mounted a pavement and collided with them.
Police said the Vauxhall Cavalier car had been taken without consent.
The teenager lost control of the car in Harold Avenue, Burnley, and it was in collision with the pedestrians.
Susan Dean, 32, of Brunshaw Road, Burnley, suffered a broken right leg. She was taken to Burnley General Hospital.
Michelle Burns, 18, of Harold Avenue, suffered shock, bruises and cuts.
She also went to hospital but was released after treatment.
The incident happened at 10.17pm on Friday.
A police spokesman said: "A 15-year-old male youth from the area was arrested in the early hours of the following morning after providing a positive breath sample.
"Further inquiries into other offences are still continuing."
