ACCRINGTON Stanley continued their encouraging pre-season programme with a 1-0 win at Mossley last night.
That followed on from an impressive 1-1 draw with Stockport County on Saturday when Paul Heavey's penalty was cancelled out by a late Stockport spot-kick.
Last night, Stanley fielded a mixture of first-teamer and trialists and won through a first-half goal from trialist John Newman.
John Coleman's side step up their preparations this week with home games against League opposition.
Burnley take a reserve side to the Crown Ground on Thursday night before Third Division Rochdale are the visitors on Saturday.
