NEIL Hodgson is set to miss out on a chance to restake a claim to a World Superbikes ride at Brands Hatch this weekend.
The Burnley rider was axed by world championship outfit Kawasaki to ride in the British series for INS Ducati this year.
The top five riders in that series are handed wild card entries to home rounds of the world championship.
But a row broke out over the lack of pit lane space afforded to these teams for the Brands round.
Other British superbike teams have settled their differences with the organisers but INS now claim that a testing session at Knockhill is a new priority.
Hodgson was quoted in the Motor Cycle News: "I'm very disappointed. Brands is going to be a special event and I know my team-mate Troy Bayliss and I would have been on the pace.
"I was looking forward to getting out there and giving the British fans a bit of a show - especially as the British series has toughened up my riding style."
