CONCERNING your remarks (LET, July 9) about outlawing foxhunting. To ban such a sport - yes, sport - would be ludicrous.

The hunts keep these vermin under control. To take away hunting would mean more chickens and more lambs being taken.

Then, foxes will move more into urban areas and, yes, they like the taste of cats - those furry little creatures that anti-blood sports people like to keep.

They might change their minds if that nasty fox came along and ate Felix or Harry.

If they really knew the truth about the cleverest of all animals, beautiful as they are, ordinary people might think about changing their views.
