THE management at Time Computer Systems were completely overwhelmed by the response to their job open days earlier this month.
More than 2,000 job seekers flooded through the gates of the firm's Simonstone headquarters and 80 new employees have now started work.
Richard Harris, general manager human resources at Time, said: "We are extremely pleased with the fantastic response to our open days.
"The quality of applicants is very high and second interviews are still ongoing.
"Both days went exceptionally well and we would like to thank everyone who attended."
The applicants were split between the various posts on offer.
Of the people who attended over the two days around 40 per cent asked about customer care positions and 30 per cent were interested in manufacturing.
The rest were looking at marketing, administration and other positions around this vibrant and innovative company.
The first batch of new starters began their training on July 19 and divide between customer service and manufacturing. They will have several weeks of training.
Over the next few weeks the vast majority of vacancies at the firm will be filled by people who attended the open days.
