ROSSENDALE United continued their impressive early season form with a 4-2 victory over a strong Wigan side featuring David Lee, Scott Green and Stuart Barlow.
Rossendale were 4-0 up through Jim McCluskey, Vinnie Patterson, Steve Carling and Andy Grimshaw. United play Radcliffe Borough in a friendly on Saturday.
Colne beat Great Harwood 2-1 thanks to goals from Gary White and a Mark Holland penalty on half-time to counter Dave Lightbown's opener for the home side.
Colne's next game is against Barnoldswick United on Saturday before facing Stanley on Monday.
