A YOUTH has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with making a bomb hoax to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph shortly after the Brixton and Soho nail bomb attacks.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged that on May 7 he communicated to deputy editor Alan Simpson information with a view to inducing that person to believe that a bomb was present in Blackburn town centre.
The youth bailed to appear before the youth court on August 3.
