THE Welcome Tavern 10k in aid of the Children of Chernobyl is on Sunday at 11am, with a two-mile fun run at 10am. The Tavern is on Hennel Lane, Walton Park, Walton-le-Dale, Preston. The Fleetwood half marathon is also on Sunday at 11am, with a 3k fun run at 11.15.
The Barnoldswick Weets Hill fell race from the Rolls Royce Sports and Social Club on Skipton Road includes junior road races: 11-13 year olds run two miles, 14-17s three miles, and there is a one-mile fun run.
The six-mile senior race begins at 11am on Sunday.
Tuesday's Crow Hill fell race is a five-miler which starts at the Dusty Miller Inn, Burnley Road, Mytholmroyd, near Hebden Bridge at 7pm. The 1.5m junior race starts five minutes later.
On Wednesday, the Pendle and Burnley Grand Prix resumes after a mid-series break, the Trawden Celtic seven-miler over road and cross country. Start is at 7.30pm from the Trawden recreation ground.
The final Leyland Trucks four-mile night series race is also on Wednesday. It starts at 7.30pm from the Baron's Rest pub, Astley Village, Chorley. Every finisher will receive either a bob cap, socks or gloves, in the Ratcliffe/Boland Cowm Reservoir multi-terrain 4.2 miler on Wednesday, and there is also a 2.7-mile junior race (start 7pm), registration is at Cowm reservoir, Whitworth.
Radcliffe AC's 6.6-mile trail race is on Thursday, August 5 at 7.15pm from the Mason's Arms, Sion Street, Radcliffe.
