TO "Bog-eyed party pooper" and "Extremely tired neighbour" (Your Letters, July 23) all I can say is: "Welcome to the world of the night worker"!
As someone who has worked nights for many years, I long ago lost count of the number of times I have been woken by banging doors - both house and car - car horns, loud music and people shouting.
Worst of all is the people who knock on the door, rather than use the door phone, ignoring the 8 x 6-inch notice, staring them in the face, which reads: "Please note, a shift worker lives here and may be asleep. If you have business here conduct it quietly please!".
All I and my fellow night workers ask is a little consideration. 2pm may be your afternoon, but it is the middle of the night for us.
