I AM a 12-year-old girl who has been going to the Barracks lodge all my life. It is a lovely place where animals live and I feel so helpless that I can't do anything because I am so young.

I went to the lodge on July 22 to find all the trees cut down and all the water nearly gone. I am glad that the people on Newington Drive are doing all they can to save it. Good luck!

And I think it is so stupid that the men who are cutting down the trees and draining the water went to the police. We are the ones who should be complaining to the police, not them.

Don't they understand that wild animals and plants are dying?
