THERE was a fond farewell on the last day of term at King Edward VII School, Lytham, for three teachers who have chalked up almost 60 years between them.
Longest server is chemistry teacher Eddie Killick, of Dorset Road, St Annes, who is retiring after 30 years and a heart by-pass operation.
Geographer Steve Luck is moving on to pastures new after 10 years at King Edward.
He will study for a degree in information technology at Lancaster University.
Also saying goodbye was head of English Chris Hawkes after 18 years.
All three received tributes and gifts at a special dinner attended by almost 100 present and former staff.
King Edward head Julian Wilde said: "Each of them has made a notable contribution to the life of the school, in and out of the classroom."
