THE campaign to prevent a DIY store selling animals in Morecambe gathered pace this week.
Focus Do It All at Westgate in Morecambe have permission to install a pet shop on their premises. But local animal charity Animal Care are trying to stop them. They argue it will encourage impulsive buying.
They have collected 2,000 signatures although there are many others still to be collected from other pet shops in the area. The national media have taken up the story. Animal Care have been featured in the Sunday Telegraph and on Radio 4 today (Thursday). They will meet with management from Focus Do It All on Wednesday, August 18.
