A NEW and interactive style of shopping comes to Lancaster next week with the formation of a farmer's market.
The latest shopping craze to hit Britain, farmer's markets are where farmer's sell their goods direct to the public which means people get a better understanding of what they are buying and where it has come from.
The range of produce on sale includes various meats, yoghurts, cakes, honey and eggs. It is hoped there will be many farmer's markets in the future.
One of the organisers, Gill Shearer, said: "For too long there has been a gap between plough and plate. North Lancashire farmers are all for bridging that gap and this is one way of doing just that."
Catch the market in Church Street on Wednesday, August 4.
