AN East Lancashire firm's Italian connection is proving to be a big success.

It is just a year since forwarding company Nortex International started their new Italian trailer groupage service, transporting goods to and from their newly appointed correspondent in Milan.

Since then the firm has developed a strong reliable service, under the experienced eye of sales and development manager Phil Denton, leaving Burnley at least three times a week and at least three times each week from Milan.

With the strong network of domestic distribution, both in Italy and the UK, the service is not limited to Lancashire and Milan, but to all areas of the UK and Italy.

And all types of cargo can be transported, including hazardous goods.

Now Nortex International has just got its first international livery trailer serving the Friday departure from Burnley each week.

Phil Denton said: "We are proud to bring to the service our first livery trailer. While recommendation and local advertising contribute to the expansion of our company, the livery trailer literally takes the name Nortex International into Europe.

"It is our intention later in the year to add another to the service, with fruiter plans next year to increase the number of livery trailers.

"Our correspondent, ITX Cargo, and Nortex International are small enough to retain customer care often lost by the larger company.

"Having said that, we are both large enough to provide a professional, reliable service, while still able to retain the essential attentive rapport with customers."
