PUPILS at Rainford C.E. Primary School showed their caring sides by penning poems about the young refugees of Kosovo. The children, all in Year 4 and aged between eight and nine, were asked to write about what they imagined the Kosovar refugees must be going through at the moment.
And teachers were so impressed by the sensitivity and foresight of the poems that they have collated them together and plan to turn them into a book.
In addition, every child has been awarded a special Headteacher's Award, the first time an entire class has received one each.
