PUPILS and staff from Cowley High School are taking part in a 250-mile sponsored bike ride in aid of the Cancer Research Campaign.
Fifteen pupils, along with staff, will set off on the trek on Monday, August 2, and they are currently looking for sponsors to help raise the cash which will be spent on vital research to find new cures and treatments.
This is the third year that the ride has been organised and the group will cycle to Shrewsbury where they will camp overnight before setting of to return to St Helens on Friday, August 6.
Anyone who would like to support the intrepid bikers can contact the campaign's regional fund-raising manager, Steve Cox on 0151 252 0081.
