A YOUNG and largely experimental Accrington Stanley side last night went down 3-1 to Colne FC at Holt House.
The home side's goals were scored by Mark Towers (two) and Steve Gavin, while Paul Heavey replied for the UniBond club.
A Paul Baker goal five minutes from time was not enough to save an inexperienced Darwen from a 2-1 Anchor Ground defeat at the hands of Fleetwood.
Stanley are again in action tonight when they travel to take on Squires Gate.
Clitheroe have two matches tonight: They entertain Burnley United at Shawbridge; and are also sending a side to Victoria Park to take on Nelson.
All the games kick-off at 7.30pm.
