A KILLER bird put town centre drinkers in a real flap.

As they sipped their beer, out of the skies plunged a peregrine falcon. The bird crashed into a fence outside the Borough Arms, Blackburn, as it dived for a pigeon.

Borough manager Peter Rawcliffe, believed the falcon was nesting near the pub.
