WE ARE now settled in at our new home at Sutton Bank in Yorkshire which is 1,200 feet above sea level.
I would like to thank you for all the kind letters and cards you sent us on our farewell from Whalley, where I had eight great years.
I hope you followed my advice a couple of weeks back when I said follow Dandy Nicholls and Godolphin, you will be showing a big profit if you have.
It is a chilly 6am and I am waiting for Les Eyre's lot to go on the gallops. Les told me over a pint on Sunday that his horses are all fit and well. He would be very surprised if his two-year-old Safranine gets beat in a very hot conditions race at Haydock on Friday night.
Les is also off to Ireland with Kevin Ryan on Sunday morning where both Nigrasine and Eastern Purple run for the respective yards.
My money will be on Nigrasine this time. One for your notebook at York in the big two year old Selling race there is Secret Conquest who ran second to a very good filly in Jemima at Ripon yesterday and as Tim Easterby rates Jemima a group class David Barker told me he will go to £15,000 seller at York with Secret Conquest who he said only cost him 600 guineas as a yearling. At Kempton on Wednesday, Future Coup with Dettori on board is my nap. At the day meeting at Haydock on Thursday Jack Berry's Ninety Degrees will take all the beating in the 2pm.
On Saturday my best bet of the day goes to Kevin Ryan's Silently to win the race for the second year running. Carry on following the Godolphin horses as they are in cracking form and will show a good profit to the end of October. Have a good week.
TIPS FOR THE WEEK:
Wednesday, Kempton - Future Coup (nap).
Thursday, Haydock - Ninety Degrees (nap).
Friday, Haydock - Safranine (nap).
Saturday, Redcar - Silently (nap).
Sunday, Ireland - Nigransine (nap).
