MINI cruises came to Burnley as visitors enjoyed pleasure trips along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
The town's new tourism venture was welcomed by hot sunshine as visitors to Burnley Wharf boarded the Marton Emperor for a choice of journeys along the waterway.
On offer were return trips along the canal's Straight Mile, the only section of its kind in the country, or on to Barden Mill for a shopping expedition.
There was also a longer mini-cruise through the Pendle countryside.
The weekend event, backed by Initiative Burnley, will be repeated on Saturday.
