A DISTINCTIVE jacket was left at the scene of a car crime in which property valued at over £1,000 was stolen.
A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thief, who got away with items including two child car seats, a pram, buggy and clothing at Hillside, Burnley.
A burgundy, blue and white jacket with the label IH-cycling gear was left at the scene.
PC Nic Fisher, a member of the new Auto Crime police team operating in Burnley, said: "We are trying to trace the person to whom the jacket belongs. "We have a reward of £100 available for information leading the arrest and conviction of the offender who broke into and stole property from the car overnight on July 21/22."
The Auto Crime team operate throughout Burnley targeting those responsible for the theft of and theft from vehicles.
PC Fisher said: "There have been quite a few recent offences in the Hillside area including the theft of child seats."
