A PSYCHIATRIC nurse was warned that he would never come so close to being disqualified without actually losing his licence after he admitted speeding on his motorbike.
Jonathan Scot Storey, 35, of Haslingden Road, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty at Blackburn magistrates to doing 96mph on the A682 near Gisburn. He was fined £500 and ordered to pay £30 costs.
Ian Barker, defending, said Storey was on his way to the Lake District. He did not know where he was caught speeding but accepted that he had been.
Mr Barker said Storey had not had the bike long and had only been out on it four times. Since the offence he had contacted the manufacturer and completed a two-day acclimatisation course at his own expense.
