Last night's pre-season friendlies included a 5-2 success for Accrington Stanley away at First North Western Trains League outfit Squires Gate. Stanley's goals came courtesy of Billy O'Callaghan (two), Mark Ceraolo (pen), Steve Hollis and Brett Baxter.
There was also a busy evening and two wins for Clitheroe who travelled to Victoria Park and beat Nelson 2-0 through Ian Gades and Ian Pilkington strikes.
A Clitheroe reserve side beat Burnley United 3-0 at Shawbridge.
